Where to cancel
| Where you bought it | Where you cancel |
|---|---|
| App Store (iPhone, iPad) | Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions → Talkie → Cancel Subscription |
| Google Play (Android) | Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Talkie → Cancel subscription |
| On the website | The terms describe only the marketplace route — web billing not verified |
Talkie Terms of Service, 23 Apr 2025: “You can modify or cancel your paid subscription only through the App marketplace where you originally acquired the subscription.”
From the terms: “You must cancel your subscription before it renews each billing period.” Otherwise the next period is charged, and refunds cannot be claimed for a partial month.
What happens next
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period — paid features stay until then.
- If the subscription is not paid after the due date, the account is downgraded to Free Use automatically.
- All fees are non-refundable “to the fullest extent permissible under applicable law”; a partial month is not refunded.
- Deleting the app does not cancel anything — the subscription lives in the store, not in the app.
If the reason is filters or outages
Two complaints dominate recent Talkie reviews: tighter filters and the app failing to load for users in some regions. Cancelling does not fix either, so it is worth lining up what you switch to.
The case for Talkie
A big catalogue and a familiar interface; cancelling takes two minutes in the store.
The case for HoneyChat
HoneyChat runs in the browser and in Telegram with no app and no store in between: direct billing, 20 free messages a day, 18+ modes on paid plans.
